Bring out the inner creativity of your team and get them thinking "out of the box" through drawing and creating art. The potential to create art is just below the surface in all of us, and can be quickly activated using the “for the Absolute and Utter Beginner” learn- to- draw method, designed by acclaimed art instructor Claire Watson Garcia.
“Claire makes you feel at ease and helps you open up the creative being that resides in all of us. We were so impressed and inspired having her as a teacher….Her approach…. can truly be applied in the practical sense when creating, structuring and problem solving at work.” Mike Lodato CEO Good Directions Inc. Danbury, CT
“Absolute and Utter Beginner” teaching is structured and linear; it’s results-oriented, fun and engaging. Claire has 25+ years’ experience refining her methods through her classes and workshops at Connecticut’s renowned Silvermine School of Art and is the author of the bestselling book “Drawing for the Absolute and Utter Beginner” (Watson-Guptill ).
The “for the absolute and utter beginner” method starts participants at the very beginning of the learn- to- draw process, in a sequence that unfolds naturally and logically. No previous art experience or skills are required! Goals are achievable, and exercises are designed to be mistake proof.
Drawing is a visual language that allows us to express and think in ways we can’t using words alone. People accumulate a storehouse of visual impressions and references over the years. Drawing is a tool for utilizing those visual resources so new ideas can be brought to the surface. The process of drawing is a path to invention and this workshop is designed not only to teach new art skills, but to help unleash your inner creative pathways, enhancing professional productivity as well as personal fulfillment.
