Overview
Cohesion and consensus are both mentioned frequently when we discuss teams. However, team members often lack clarity or consensus when posed with a question or decision. In this workshop, we will delve into why this is by addressing lack of clarity and other obstacles facing dysfunctional and unproductive teams. It is based on the bestselling book, “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team” by Patrick Lencioni. This workshop is ideal for leadership teams, working groups, or individuals new to the concept of working in teams. Lencioni states that ineffective teams demonstrate one of more of these dysfunctions:
- Will learn what are the “Five” Dysfunctions of a Team (as identified by Lencioni)
- How to assess their teams to identify which dysfunctions exist and need to be addressed
- Practical applications to overcome these dysfunctions
- Will create a template/action plan to address any identified dysfunctions immediately
This workshop can be combined with other experiential activities [1], to create a full-day program.
