This event is about brightening the lives of kids in tough situations. Participants will create stuffed animal “rescue” baskets filled with stuffed animals that get stuffed at this event. The baskets filled with stuffed animals get donated to local hospitals, day care centers or to emergency service organizations. The baskets are placed in high-traffic locations, such as the counter in the children’s ward of a hospital, where children can choose a pet “Best Friend” for free. Each stuffed pet comes with a birth certificate and a lucky star.
